We are adding a bigger engine to ensure that it can compete with the speed and acceleration needed nowadays to get on to freeways and over steep inclines. We also added disc breaks instead of drum breaks to the front of the car to ensure proper stopping power which will feel similar to cars nowadays. We also are semi rebuilding the engine we get for the car to inspect the inside and determine if it is worthy of being put into the car. Our first engine we fully built up until we saw that one of the pistons had a water leak which resulted in a huge amount of rust to build up. When we finally removed all of the rust and inspected it we say that the cylinder walls were in rough shape resulting in us scrapping that engine and getting another.
