We were tasked with designing and building a liquid rocket engine as part of a certification course, completing the entire process independently. This included working through all of the engine geometry using isentropic equations and running CEA (a NASA tool) to calculate key values such as gamma and temperature.

Using these results, we developed a MATLAB code that functioned as a calculator, allowing us to determine all critical engine dimensions as well as properly size the orifice holes.
