Static Hot Fire: This test was just a proof of concept, it was the first engine every fired on the test stand, the last engine being tested blow up. Because we fired this engine we earned the facility we tested at 1million dollars in funding to develop the cite even further.
Cold Flow: This test is designed so you can get the timing of your fuel and oxidizer valve opening, hence why you can see a small stream and then a larger one afterwards. If you have a larger enough lead of either fuel or oxidizer you can potentially cause a hot start which isn’t good for your engine. Personally this one looks cooler the the actual Hot Fire.
