Habanero is alive

My uncle is the one driving it; I was a little worried the brakes were going to work. Also, we still need a proper fuel tank; we currently have a gas tank strapped to the side.

    Engine Running Idle

This video shows the first time the engine was able to run completely on its own. We had a carburetor issue, but that was due to a spacer that wasn’t removed, causing the vacuum inside the carburetor to be not properallys selded, meaning the engine would shut down after a couple of rotations. I was no longer here; I had left for the day.

    Shifter Installation

The car originally had a shifter on the steering column, but that isn’t cool anyway, so we instead converted the car into a floor shifter, which was more convenient as the configuration of the engine being a V8 landed the transmission directly below the center console of the car. The only problem getting into 1st gear might be a struggle.

    Rear Wheel Spinning

After installing the shifter and driveshaft, we were finally able to go ahead and lift the rear of the car and allow the tires to spin. This was really exciting as it finally meant the car was able to get moved around and somewhat driven.
