This is my open rocket of the L1 rocket as you can see CP is lower then CG so my rocket will self align and travel in a mostly straight path.
NASA has this cool image where it shows how simple rockets are made with center of gravity (CG) and center of pressure (CP), so long as your CP is lower then your CG then your rocket for the most part will fly straight as your CG will act as a pivot point for any forces that are experienced during flight and because your CP is lower then the CG and your wings are below your rocket will self align its entire way up, as it constantly tilts towards straight.
